Founder and Lead Advisor

As the firm’s founder and lead advisor, Pete is passionate about helping clients understand and pursue their financial goals. He founded Freedom Wealth Management  to provide custom, holistic wealth planning with professionalism and integrity. With more than 25 years of advisory experience, Pete has worked to build a solid reputation for delivering valued qualified professional collaborative advice, financial education, and custom service to a wide range of clients.

Prior to founding Freedom Wealth Management , Pete spent 13 years as a financial advisor at Edward Jones. He also served as a financial advisor at UBS. Before entering the financial services industry, Pete served for 24 years in the United States Marine Corps, 12 years as an enlisted Marine, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant, followed by 12 years as a commissioned officer, attaining the rank of Captain.

Pete credits his love of finance to his childhood, being raised by a single mother in a household where money was tight. At an early age, he learned the importance of saving and investing for the future. He developed an entrepreneurial spirit as a teenager, working as a bag boy at a local grocery store while also mowing lawns for extra cash. After many years serving as a financial advisor to clients, this entrepreneurial drive eventually led him to found his own firm to help clients pursue their full financial potential seek to build the wealth necessary to turn their dreams into reality.

Pete has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, and operations from the University of South Carolina Upstate and an MBA from Duquesne University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designation.

Pete also serves as a volunteer laborer and mason for Men of Vision Evangelize (MOVE), a ministry of Open Bible Churches. Each year, he accompanies the men of MOVE on a three-week mission trip to a foreign country where they construct a building for the local ministry. Pete currently serves on the Citizens Advisory Board for Spokane Fire District 4. He previously served as a board member for the Martin Luther King Jr. Family Outreach Center, an organization dedicated to improving quality of life for children and families throughout Spokane.
